Just put in a new trans and clutch and the clutch pedal is soft and does not opperate the clutch. I took the slave back out and tried to press the fork to see if it was that soft, but it is in the hydrolic system... any advise?

01 Ram 2500 4*4 6 speed

When you say a new clutch , does that mean the pressure plate , throw out bearing and pilot bearing ? If you have the South Bend I would guess so .
Flush the clutch hydro system [ this should be done with brakes also , no fluid / lube should be left for longer than about 20,000-30. 000 ] .
Have someone work the clutch while your under the truck to look for its full travel .

Yes a new South Bend and a new transmission, I did not do anything to the slave except unbolt it and slide it out of the way when we did the work. Then I get everything put back together and no pedal, it just goes right to the floor. I have worked the rod on the slave to try to get any air out but no luck. I guess I am stuck and need to replace the slave and or master... . I don't know what else to do at this point. I have searched to try to find ways to bleed the slave (I think I must have air in the line) but I have tryed everything...

If you haven't opened any hyd. lines , fittings , master or slave then it should be a hyd. problum , any fluid , wet areas ?
It may be some mechanical , got a part out of place ect .
Did you watch while someone opperates the pedle to look for movement at trans?

I am trying a new master and slave today. After talking w perter at south bend and a few dodge techs that friends know, it sounds like its just time for some new hyd. gear. I have over 150K miles on it. When I changed the trany I also did a rear main - oil had been just pooring out of it. I am not sure what I did to the slave or master but I'll probably have it figured out by tonight. Thanks for the advise - Ill keep you posted.

all fixed! like a new truck. New master and slave from dodge. Super easy to install. Did it in the parkinglot of work - took 25 minutes tops. All is good now.
