It seems to be one problem right after another, i have been having a "Hunt Shift" problem and now when I accelerate from a dead stop it shifts into 2nd then about a second later is tachs out, (i have to let off the pedal). I adjusted the Throttle Valve Cable so there was no slack. I have no codes.

Under full throttle acceleration or part throttle? Stock at full throttle, that sounds about right as they won't shift until it hits the rev limiter. If it is doing it at part throttle there is a problem with the trans.

Is it brand new Dodge reman or ????

Its at full throttle, and it is when i accelerate from 1st into 2nd but then the engine revs a second or so after going into 2nd, its a reman from GOTengines

So is it safe to assume the bands have been properly adjusted and the fluid level is correct (not too high or too low)?

If you actually hear and see the revs go up after it shifts, there is a shift timing or band adjustment problem. Should not have a runaway upshift even stock.

If it is hitting the rev limiter and nosing over a bit before it shifts then takes off again or the revs stay even but it kind of hangs a bit, that would be a normal crappy stock shift at WOT.

As was mentioned, gove solenoid and transducer will cause a lot of this.

Fluid level at full, and there is about 2k on this trans. I have a 3yr unlimited mile warrenty on this. I assumed they did the adjustments. I was going to install a Transgo kit this weekend. (Might do it sooner)

does it act like it goes to neutral? I have this problem after my new trans was installed. It was explained that for some reason the trans is calling for a low govenor PSI and it want's to shift into 1st, but the VB won't let it at that speed. Haven't heard of a fix yet.

I didn't hold the pedal down long enough, it felt like my old trans i just replaced (Slipping). I hope its a simple adjustment. I will get into installing a shift kit this weekend and i will check the front band just to see how loose it is. Also a filter and fluid change couldn't hurt.

I towed the horse trailer nice shifting, but did notice with and without the trailer it takes alot longer (or so it seems) to shift into 3rd (about 30mph:confused:), other than that this was the best 60 I spent.

Just had mine rebuilt about 2 months ago and have been experiencing the same issues. Earlier this week, took my truck back in for the 4th time and had mechanic drive with me to show him personally what the truck is doing. This morning, they are going to put gauges on it and diagnose further. Their thinking is I have a faulty governor as everything else they've tried isn't working. By the way, the solenoid and sensor was replaced during the rebuild.
