well we just got our new dtt trans in and it wont shift. everything is in correct as far as i can tell. the problem im having is it goes in drive and engages but only first. it wont shift at all. it aslo holds the gear when you let off of the throttle. like said everything is in and hooked up right as far as i can tell. the engagment is good and hard in both first and reverse. ive checked the relay to the trans and its good. im at a loss for whats wrong. what are ya'lls ideas.

the truck is a 97 w/ 47re trans. we built the transmission and installed it.

Just one question... the same thing also happens when the electrical plug on top of the VB is not properly plugged into the VB or not connected at all. Also... were all the electronics ( gov. soleniod, pressure sensor, od and lock-up soleniod)pluged in nice and tight when the VB was installed. Sounds like the trans is in limp mode.

The best thing to do is give Bill a call and he can give you a hand. You should not be driving it .

stefan i think your the one that handled it. alex bergwerf is the guy it was for. anyways we arent drivin it except for the test drives thinking we had it figured out. as far as the electronics they where nice and tight when we put them in. i dont think its in limp mode though cause that defaults to 3rd gear this is in first.
