Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) new transfer pump just installed / I have questions

I went to my local dodge dealer with fuel pressure of 1 at idle, I told him that I thought the lift pump needed replaced and asked them to check it out, they installed a new transfer pump - psi is 15 at idle now - I hear all this talk on this website about lift pumps - nothing about transfer pumps - is that just there terminoligy for a lift pump?? or are they 2 seperate pumps??
