Hey guys, maybe you can help me out, I just replaced my NV4500 last week with a new unit from Chris, csnyder, thanks to 3rd gear eating itself. I had issues with the old one shifting into gear easily and figured it was on its last legs before it went boom! Well, after installing the new transmission, I still had issues with it shifting into gear while sitting still. I can shut the truck off and it will shift into all gears with out any issue. But as soon as the truck is running, no fun at all. So, I replaced the hydraulics with a new HD setup as I have heard that the stock unit can have issues with heavier clutches ( I have a SB Con-OFE 13" ) Well, I still have the issue! I had to adjust the clutch pedal piston out so far that the pedal is now 2-3" closer to the driver than the brake pedal. It was the only way I could get it to shift into gear. Am I missing something? I pulled the bell housing when I did the swap and all was well. The clutch looks to be ok, and the throw out bearing is tight. The fork was securely snapped onto the little ball... . please dont tell me I need to drop my transmission... . again..... :(
