New Truck and I have a Question

It's been while since I logged on here. I had a 2002 2500 regular cab 4x4 for a long time. I ended up trading it in on a 2005 2500 with a crew cab so the car seats would fit. I just traded that truck off on a 2016 4 door short box. It is getting close to hunting season and I was getting ready to order tire chains for the new truck. I read something about how you can't run tire chains on the front end of the 4th gens. I had no problem with the 2nd or 3rd generation trucks and wouldn't have bought this one if I'd realized you can't chain up the front end. Has anybody tried chaining up the front or is there any work arounds for this?

You can bet the reason for the no chain recomendation is for clearance/damage concerns
