New truck arrived yesterday

Hello folks, picked up my new truck at the dealer's and so far REALLY good! I was surprised at how much had changed since I purchased my 2008. It's a 3500 Laramie Longhorn, dually with the new auto trans.

I'll be posting soon on how it pulls my old Airstream, but I am really impressed with the max tow as I had some trepidation over the 4. 10 rear end. On my work commute (about 40 miles mixed driving) I noticed that at 65 mph it was turning about 1800 RPM and at 70; still below 2000. That is slightly lower than my old truck with a 6 spd manual and 3. 73 gearing.

Also, it's the first truck I ever owned with an auto.

Very quiet and pulls like a freight train merging onto the interstate and on hills.

Thanks to all of you who have posted on your experiences with the 4th generation trucks and made my decision easier. GV

Yeah, well I'll try to rectify that next week. Been too busy either working to put stuff on the truck or working to pay for the truck.

It's white with the gold rockers and looks pretty nice to me.

Congrats. These new trucks are nice. We are really enjoying ours so far. I'm loving the reaction I get from Ford guys after they look at the Longhorn.
