New truck is here!

I was out running errands today and the dealer/ salesman called and said the truck is in. Of course I raced over and got it. It took 2 1/2 hrs. ( doing paper work etc. ) to get out of there so I could go drive it. Well I'm happy now. Wife won't see me much either for about 3 days.

Driving home it was showing 18. 5 MPG.

Now I have a lot to do to get it 'personallized.

Any bets on when I get " BOMBitis. ??!!!

ANOTHER NEW TRUCK

Hey fox, I know exactly how you feel. I picked up my new '02 ETH/DEE on Feb 23 and the next day we had plans to fly to Mexico for 9 days! Hard to enjoy my vacation knowing the new truck was sitting home in the garage !! :{ Kind of sad to see the '98 go,but the CUMMINS will outlast the V10 by far. Incidently,i spotted a white Dodge ram with a TDR grille badge in Cabo san Lucas Mexico while on vacation with Ca plates. That was pretty cool. Made me want to go home even more ! :{

I promised myself I'd take real good care of this one. The last one ,a 95 4X2 auto I bombed it and ran it a little hard.

The pi**er was that every time I went on vacation my employees would find a way into my garage, then past my security system , get the key and test drive it. Twice when I got home from vacation the auto was slipping and no-one knew why!!

After the 2nd trans I dissabled the truck when gone.

The above story was confirmed by a confidencial friend. The truck was drag raced against several cars and trucks.

The person involved doesn't work for me anymore!!



Anyway, I'll be busy these next few days. I've got a phone, cb, top, shocks etc. to get on it.

Congrats on the truck... I called DC yesterday and found out the "Estimated Ship Date" is from a week today (3/14) and then I have to do the long wait of it getting shipped... Hopefully they will be quick about getting it here, but my luck will be it will sit on the railroad car for a week across the river...

Oh Be Careful once you get it you have it forever... No known cure as of yet, although I hear the league of womens voters along with the women from MADO (Mom's against Diesel Owners) are working on something.

I'm with you Rusty. I picked mine up August 9, 2001, and my face still hurts from smiling so hard when I drive it.



Adding the PE Comp DID NOT HELP cure it either! I may try an injector upgrade... yeah, maybe that will help.
