What mileage were you all getting when you first bought your trucks? I got a little over 16 mpg with the cruise set at 75. Also, how much has it increased? I hope to do a lot better than this once it's broke in.

Mine got 19. 0MPG when new. It has since dropped to 17. 3MPG. I think that this is due to the winter blend fuel, cold weather and longer warm-up periods. Waiting for spring to see how much it improves.

I was getting 17-21 mixed driving when new. just before winter at around 12,000 it wen't to 19-21. It is now(winter) at about 16-18 lightly loaded mixed driving. Inever drive above 70 when loaded for safety and fuel consumption reasons.

From what I have noticed, anything over 70mph, you can't expect to get real good mileage. When I picked mine up in October, it got 17 mpg driving it back from Oregon. After 7800 miles I'm getting 18-19 mpg going back and forth to work but I don't drive it over 70 unless I have to go to the bathroom. This weekend I was late for a basketball tourney and drove it 75-80 mph for 130 miles and got 17 mpg. I have gotten 19-21 mpg when on the highway going 65-70, depending on winds.

Getting 16-18 mixed. Noticed on this tank of fuel my milage seems to have increased a little, last thing I did was remove the cab high shell befor filling up. Thought the Shell would cut down on wind drag but maybe there is something to this design of the truck I hear about with tailgate up getting best milage.

I was seeing 15. 5 MPG's when brand new and with no mods. , also with the "summer" diesel. Winter mix brought me down to about 12. 5 MPG, again with no mods. I started running with the Stat. PF and my mileage went back up to 13. 5 MPG. This is all "in town" driving with alot of hills and never getting out of 5th gear. Hope this helps.

My first tank I calculated 24. I figured that was some kind of fluke. Then it dropped to 18 and slowly worked back to 21. and now, the worst I get is 20. 5 in the daily stop and go (this is Central Georgia, don't make fun) and recently got 23 on a trip to Alabama running 65 on Highway 231 which is long, rolling hills. Towing, I have gotten as low as 14. 5. One thing I found was that the quality of fuel varies between stations. I use Phillips 66 here. If I change to BP or an independant, I immediately drop 1-2 mpg. I watch my overhead ECO mileage dropping . 1 MPG until I can't take it anymore. When I was commuting to Melbourne, FL, I would fuel up on Hess down there. Mileage would go to 18 on the interstate until I could get some good fuel in the truck again (Flying J at Lake City) and she would go back to 19. 5-20. Problem with the Hess was that it was all I could find down there. Problem with fuel is that it is so inconsistent.

9K miles now. Since new, and up to now 17. 5 to 18. 5 empty, towing a light trailer 3 to 4-thousand pounds 14. 5 to 15. 5 @ 70to 75 mph.
It doesn't matter how I drive it, it is always the same. From what I've read keeping it below 70 and you should get fair mileage... MH

Same here, just under 1000 miles on truck with winter fuel, bad road and strong winds -- first tank was 16. 97 (17 mpg). On second tank now and it appears it will break the 18 barrier. Doing about the same for mileage as the "99" auto did last winter. Looks like your in the ballpark being you are also driving in the colder climates.
