New Truck Need Advice

Recently took delivery of a 2002 3500 QC Dually 4x4 Auto with 4. 10 Locker- It has towing package , 47RE with aux cooler and everything but leather- I immediately put in Edelbrock IAS shocks all around and WAAG Dually bars which extend all the way around. Put a K &N in the stock airbox (well sealed with grease)- put a quick 5k miles on it and did first dealer oil change (free) with Mopar 15w-40 at 3500 miles- I was dissappointed to see at the Cummins site that K &N is not recommended but I ran this truck on the beach in deep sand during a windstorm at the Outer Banks NC (50 lbs of air!!!) and checked box was clean so was filter- I would like to go to a Volant and a 4 inch dual exhaust system to move more air /exhaust and a gauge package- I am also putting on some of the ATP sound reduction parts because I daily drive this and put it in a parking garage next to really little cars- Woud like some comments suggestions- I would hate to void a 100k warranty but these filter makers must feel the units can protect an engine- sorry for the long post but I am new.

k&N

You could look through the search on the k&n. I'm sure you will have a lot to read there. I read in the tdr roundtable about a test that some member did using the k&n in the stock airbox. It made me take out the k&N and put a stock filter back in. The round k&Ns filter better is my understanding. . . Congrats on your new truck, i'm sure you will enjoy it!

K&N Filter

I'm kinda new at this stuff too. However I did my truck in this order, K&N filter purchased from West Valley Dodge. this dealer says no warranty problem. since then I added a few things last week see profile.
