OK, I have had my ne H. O. 6 speed for about 4 months and I'm ready. I sold my 98 4x4 12 valve which had 4 inch straight pipe, more timing, plate forward and boost elbow, guages etc... That truck was past it's waranty so I didn't mind bombing it! This one only has 8,000 on it but I want more power without voiding the waranty. Any help ? Also can anyone help with the procedure for calibrating the speedo? (Bigger Tires) Thanks.

Really, guages should be a first. Any of the timing+fueling boxes would be a good place to start on the bombing. Knowing what you want to end up with for final HP helps the process. A peruse through the search button will give lots of opinions. I like mine just great for "safe" towing. Read my signature.

Ok, now I've done it. I was out playing around in my truck and I believe I have seriously messed some thing up. Please help! I was driving up hill at wot and it seemed as if my turbo noise was extremely loud. So, when I got home I looked around under the hood and it seems that I must have sucked the airbox boot and silencer ring and keeper through the turbo. Their is no sign of them! Luckely enough, no apparent damage to the turbo vanes. GO Figure! Oh Well, Sounds cool now!

But what about waranty concerns. I don't mind working around this problem but I don't want to purposely void my warranty. Also, I am an ex 12 valver so I am familiar with the importance of guages and have ordered them, but I am not familiar with the terms associated with the 24 valve boxes. Please help!

In answer to the power I am looking for , I don't want to have to worry about being out pulled by a powerchoke or the Notso-Dura-max. Probably 280hp/ ? tq . Maybe this helps.

An Edge EZ is a good box. I ran it on my '01 and could not live without it until I installed my Edge Comp :D . Sam

PS e-mail mew at -- email address removed -- if you are interested in a brand new 4" Jardine exhaust. This has the deep tone.

killer, sam is right about the ez. once you have it you won't be able to live with out it. the ez is a direct plug in box that you can remove in about 30 sec. it leaves no tell tell signs of ever being there. the ez is a mild fueling and timing box. the comp is a major fueling box and timing. the difference is that you have to prick the injection pump wire for the major fueling box's. this is not a dealer friendly box. i would say you should try the ez.

you can purchase it from andy or doug at http://www.smokindiesel.com. i think they have them on special this month for $550.

for more info look over this site, these guys make the ez. http://www.edgeproductsinc.com

EZ Loaner

KLR, We are not that far away from each other. I live just east of Georgetown and have a '01 EZ that I could loan you. I think it would put a big smile on your face. Are you going to make it to rally in Kerrville, the last weekend of Sept. Let me know if you want to try it out.

Check you fuel pressure at idle and WOT, if all is okay, try the Edge EZ box. Awesome gain with the ETH, your face will go from this :) to this  :D  . It doesn't touch those VODOO void stickers and is easily removed for warranty concerns.

Thanks for the help from everybody. I have searched the posts for some time and was unable to really nail down the waranty problem. Thanks to every one for their inputs, I believe I will try to take up weircummins on his offer and try the ez. If I like the EZ, does anyone out there that has upgraded have one for sale? Thanks again for the Help!
