New Truck

Well let's just say today I was in the right place at the right time. I had a 2004 2500 4x4 auto. Loved it. BUT originally wanted the 6 spd and really don;t feel I'll need the 4wd... I've used it once and it was on purpose not because I needed to.

Went to our TDR chapter meeting today... at a dodge dealer and they have 1 6 spd truck sitting there... 3500 SRW short bed 2wd quadcab. SLT laramie. . LOADED.

The I looked at the price and it was LOW. So I asked the sales lady... "if you can put me in this truck WITHOUT money down and WITHOUT raising my payment... I'd like to take it home today. They did it!

Here's the kicker... now I'm not knocking the '04. 5 600 trucks... I know most folks are very happy with them but I was set on a 305/555 because all my "stuff" wouldn't work on the 600... and it IS a 305/555. Brand new. Build date of August '03... but it was never bought.



So I'm tickled... although I think there was nothing wrong with the auto... I have always driven a manual... and with the truck I bought last year I had that little voice that just kept saying... why didn;t you get the manual! Now the voice is gone



So there's my story. I'm excited!
