Well, after 4 long years the wait is finally over. I bought a 2010 Mega-cab. Black Laramie, 4x4. Oo. Very nice truck. I am very excited. My first impression is the transmission seems to make pretty good use of the low-end grunt the engine produces. If left alone the transmission wants to hunt between 5th and 6th at slower speeds but you can downshift with the manual shift control. I like that feature. The cab body mounts are liquid filled and it really soaks up the bumps providing a very supple ride. I'm stuck on supple for some reason. The cab is quiet and comfortable. I went with the mega for family trips. There is definately pleny of room. I'm 6-2 and with the drivers seat all the way back, I can sit in the back seat with about 4" from my knees to the seat. Then you can recline the backseats.

Anyway, I'm excited to be back in a CTD. I wish it didn't have all the extra emissions crap on it but it but hey; the "the witch in Washington" will never leave us alone.

Nice truck I just picked mine up friday... Question for you The doors have pockets in them for whatever. my drivers door has a foam insert for cups I was just wondering if the passenger door should have had one too. Did you get one or two?

Mine does not have it installed on the passenger side either.

KORE Suspension installed.

Hope this works with the pictures. nearly two years since new and I've just installed a KORE RECON kit. I love it! I also put 285/75/17 Nitto Dura Grapplers on it. Looks like a truck now. I had a KORE suspension on my '02 and loved it. I always said I'd do it again.

I just turned 70k miles. I've averaged overall about 15mpg... . hand calculated. With the 285s I'm getting 13 at best. I hope that's about to change though as I've got a Smarty Jr and a DPF delete kit coming.

Any advice on the deletes is appreciated. I'm getting the Middle East program on the Smarty JR. With the DPF delete pipe, is there anything else I need to do to the fuel lines and electrical connections? Is it okay to disable the EGR without unplugging or blocking off anything?

KORE RECON kit includes 4 Bilstein remote reservoir shocks, sway bar drop blocks, sway bar end links, VR coils, mini-leaf packs, bump stops and all hardware. Me and a buddy had the front and rear done in 5 hrs. I'm extremely happy with it. Driving impressions give a more controlled ride. Less body roll side-to-side. There's street by me that has speed humps (bumps but humps) because the school buses are stored there after hours (not residential) and I've taken them at 50 mph and the suspension just soaks it up. You can tell you just drove over a speed hump at 50 mph; don't get me wrong but it's not abrubt and jarring but very soft and controlled. AWESOME!

Nice truck. The shocks on the 4th gen trucks that I have driven are valved very soft. Does your truck still ride smooth down the road? Is it more of a controlled ride instead? I am interested in a nice suspension. Sam

Ride is very controlled. That's the whole idea to let the axles articulate without the side to side body roll (among others) The ride is firmer but not harsh in my opinion. Thing about is... I spent a chunk of money so I'm a little biased. I want it to perform better. But I can honestly say it does and I recommend. Check out Carli too. Kore and Carli were the original innovators in these HD Ram suspensions. Their stuff is great.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at Carli suspension as they show more kits online.

What part of the suspension would you like to change to help it perform better? Thanks, Sam.

The curbside door on my 2010 came without the cupholder. I found the one on the streetside door to be next to useless for holding a cup with liquid in it. At least for my hand it's a very, very tight fit to reach down there to get the cup. I use it to hold my leather work gloves.
