Well I've finally made up my mind and will buy a new 03 3500 drw laramie with all available options with 4x4 auto. 4:10 gears. I will be pulling a 14-15,000# fifth wheel. I've been researching the ford a chevy also,but really like the cummins and the ford is not rated to pull that much. Does anyone know when the 04 come out or when you can order one? Does anyone know of any reason to wait for them. Thanks evewryone for all the help on my towing post.

On another thread there was speculation that the '04s 'might' have a bit more power than the '03s.



On the other hand, other threads have indicated that the '04s will be having more anti-polution equipment including EGRs.



Personally, I went for the '03, myself, with every option that I thought might be of any value when pulling a fiver the size of yours.



While "bugging" the Customer Service people at DC about the status, I also kept asking them about the use of a Jacobs EB with the HO/48RE under Warranty and they said to have the Dealer's Service Manager get with Startech.



They did and mine was on when I picked it up.



Yah - we plan to see some steep grades.
