Thanks to all the information on here we are about to complete the purchase of our first CTD Dodge Truck. I have been tracking it on Union Pacific for the last week or so and it is finally just about here. When I saw it had made it as far as Nisqually this evening we just couldn't resist going down to the waterfront in Tacoma to watch it pull into to town.

It's hard to see much of anything but the silhouettes of the trucks but she's in there! Now if it would just make it to the dealer before July 1 so we can avoid paying extra tax to support our governor Gary Locke's f'd up transportation plan.

Get down to your dealer

Nice pic!! Kinda like an ultrasound pic of a baby!!!

I'd get down to your dealer and badger the crap out him to get that delivery done ASAP..... I'm sure they will undestand. You must have bought in King county??? (is that tax increase statewide, or just in King???) I dont want to get my Locke soap box out so I'll just focus on willing your truck to deliver ASAP!!!

:-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf I have know some impatient people, but you are the first I have known that went to the railyard to get a peek at his new truck, and took pictures!:-laf :-laf :-laf You are all right Hulkster, and I think you are going to fit in nicley here!

Fireman

You all are ALL WRONG... . He just did not have a wide enough lens to get the WHOLE picture..... His new CUMMINS is PULLING the TRAIN... ..... :D :D

I agree this is the rite place for us extremist. By the way, I think the Gary Locke thing will be takin care of in the next election (I hope).

JThiessenYes, almost just like an ultrasound, ROFL. I believe the new adder to vehicle sales tax is statewide. The amount is 0. 03% which amounts to about $120 on my new truck if my calculations are correct. But just in case I'm wrong I am riding my dealer to see if we can move this thing.

Yes, we need to UN-Locke Washington State. Enough is enough already!

lschultzThanks! Yes, it was pretty hard to see into the rail car but we're pretty sure we spotted her :D

Elite1, LawdogYou are correct! I wish I would have had my wide angle with me so I could get the truck in the picture!

FiremanThanks!

Prairie DogI sure hope you're right. Let's UN-Locke Washington State! Everyone I have talked to is thouroughly disgusted with this guy and tired of his !@##@!

Growing old

Just how long does it take for a truck to make it from the rail yard in Kent, WA to the dealership in Puyallup, WA?

I don't know off hand but someday (hopefully soon) I'll be able to tell you all. :{

Congrats!

I can relate! Tracked mine on UPRR all the way too! Kind of fun!

Mine sat a weekend in Oakland, CA arriving on time at the Benicia, CA UPRR Yard. Then, I about split a gasket when it sat ONE WHOLE WEEK at the Rail Yard & Truck Transporter's Yard with only 65 miles left to go to the Dealer. No one seemed to care until I finally complained and the General Sales Manager called the trucking Co. and told them to make it "Hot"!

I had the last say though, as it came off the transport truck 10 minutes before I gave it my own PDI (Pre-Dealer Inspection) a few hours later it was home resting from it's long trip, safely tucked in it's new garage space!

Oo.

IT'S WORTH THE WAIT - - HANG IN THERE, NO MATTER WHAT!

pinch me...

It's finally here and sitting in my driveway. Someone pinch me as I feel I must be dreamin' :D

Must sleep, sit in truck, no sleep...

Drove about 2hrs to see mine get off-loaded, then got first pics as it came off train and moved to staging yard. Security let me get pics as it sat awaiting assignment to transport. Went to dealer next morn to watch it off-load but the truck beat me by 1/2 hr (shucks!).

When I post pics there is a difference as I traded the SLT chrome grill for an ST black one at the dealers. Liked the look of the black better and it matches all the other add-ons :p .

Only have 2 more add-ons to go before pics - grill guard and bed spray. Cant make up mind on guard yet, the ones I like wont retain the factory hooks. May have to build my own (with friends shop as a helper).

SOTSU!!

New 03

We signed the papers on ours today. Our local dealer made a swap with a dealer in Portland. They just have to pick it up. They will not let me go get it!!!!!!! That is what I call Chicken Sh*# t. Said it has to be one of their employees's. Should have it by Monday.

:)

My wife said for an old man I'm acting like a young buck getting his first rig. I'm wondering if that feeling carries over to the bedroom:D

Traded in the 95. on this 3500 SWR,HO Cummins,48RE Auto.

w/SLT / Laramie package in Atlantic Blue. with all the towing goodies.

Ray... don't know if the feeling carries over into the bedroom, but the storage inbetween the front seats will hold a 6 pack easily, and I'm pretty sure the dash is flat enough for a couple of candles;) Now... did you get the fold flat rear floor:D

Mconstable

Cannot drink and drive, will use a flashlight if needed. :)

Did not get the fold down flat floor. Going to take the back seats out and make my own flat floor. We often haul two very large Bernese Mountain Dogs, 90 to 100 lbs plus.

When I go outside, they head for the truck just waiting for their ride. With the 4 door we can open their windows and they will not be drooling all over us when they stick their head out. :D

Should have the 03 in our yard about Monday

My post was tongue-in-cheek... about you acting like a young buck and the feeling carrying over to the bedroom... romance in the truck instead of the bedroom and all... booze, candles, fold flat floor...come on work with me;)

Mconstable

Oh,, I knew it was tongue in cheek and 40 or 50 years ago that would have been a peice of cake :) but I'm not sure I could convince my better half of that now. :D

But we can dream I guess. ;)
