Hi guy's just wondering if you've noticed that most of the talk is about problems that people are having with their vehicles. I know it's not just this forum but makes me a little worried when I get mine. I hope it's very reliable. Hopefully people will start posting more positive things.

I have just driven 1100 miles pulling my 40', 16,000 pound fifth wheel with less than 3,000 miles on the clock. All I can say is WOW! Unbelievable performance. Cruise set on 70, never waivers more than 3 mph. downshifts are seamless, and talk about torque!!!!

The only reason people post is to get help with a problem. Compare the number of posts with the number of trucks sold and you'll find they're pretty reliable.

There was a recent thread discussing all the people who were not having any problems. IIRC it got pretty long. My 13 has been great for 33k miles so far.

Had under 200 miles on mine before a 1300 mile round trip with a 30 foot gooseneck and two old Case tractors. No issues

I'd also challenge you to take a look at some of the other brand's forums. You might be amazed at the frequency of posts related to problems there as compared to here.

Over 16k on my 13 with most of it pull 18k pound horse trailer and I have had no complaints at all. Is there a learning curve with the DEF and all of the digital gadgets over my 03 yes, but no complaints.

I bought my 2011 Ram Laramie 3500 in July of 2011. It is the high output version. This is by far, the best vehicle that I have ever owned. It is 100% reliable and has had no problems so speak of.

I can say that my 2012 has been 99.9% trouble free. The only issue was a dash mounted brake controller, that was replace last April, under warranty. No CEL's, no other issues. Still beyond pleased with my truck.

Like stated above, most only get on forums for help with problems. There are very few people that get on forums just to let everyone know there trucks are running great with no problems. There is also a very small amount of people who get on forums just to bs like me. lol

I purchased my 2014 Ram 3500 in May, I'm about to hit 15,000 miles on it already. This includes a just completed vacation trip of 5,700 miles going from Virginia through the hills and valleys of West Virginia, and Kentucky, the altitude of Wyoming to visit family in Utah. The return trip was more sedate through New Mexico and Texas headed back to Virginia. I was pulling a 43 foot 5th Wheel Toyhauler weighing in at 17,000 lbs, not a single problem with this truck since I had it.

I can't do a new Ram, but my '04 is my machine! Not tired of it in any way and by far the best vehicle I've ever had. Bought it new. There are posts here about the big migration to new Rams for commercial duty. Some have older bodies on them as if they scooted a new truck underneath. I also read the truck classifieds. There's an unusual amount of super dutys there that are naked. Hmmmm.

While ive been pretty vocal about the issues with my truck, as far as the engine/transmission I have absolutely NO complaints.
My issues, along with many others, seem to be centered around vibrations and software issues.

The reason is everyone complains about the problems, but most everyone is happy with what they have and don't say as much.
I am at almost 20000 miles, about 1/2 towing and extremely happy with the '13 in my signature.

Nobody gets on the Internet to brag about their truck, just to look for answers OR complain (except for the ferd tardz) about problems. People who know about diesel trucks drive Dodge Cummins. Enjoy your new truck and if you do have any issues, that's what the warranty is for!

Human nature is to crab about the little problems you have and NOT mention all the good stuff. My 2013 3500 now has 18000 towing miles on it and I could not be any happier with this truck. This is my 6th Dodge Cummins and by far the best of the lot, not one issue so far, just a towing monster.

And some people are never happy. The other day there was a complaint that the fuel tank was too BIG and cost too much to fill it.

Who wants to listen to a bunch of cheer leaders all the time? A forum is for owners who are frank about issues they have seen that might be of help to others seeing these issues themselves. Hey Larry, I'm about 1/2 way to you on miles.
