Getting read to install new turbo tomorrow and just wondering if you need to poor oil into it before installing the oil feed line for the bearings. Not sure what other problems may show up during the install (something always goes wrong) but would appreciate any helpful tips.

yes yes yes alway pour oil into the oil inlet and prelube the bearing before you start the engine.

and its best to keep the boost under 20 psi for the first 250 miles or so :)

Hmm guessing an Hx40 or such? If so hand bolt her up first without oil lines and such and clock the housing to match your old turbo outlet (Sometimes they are not clocked right and you can even get to the last bolt then realize it)

I SLOWLY spin the blades while putting oil in it (VERY LITTLE as it does not hold much when not under oil pressure) as that will coat the shaft quite well.

Bob, tell me it ain't so. . I have to let gran maw take my truck sunday for the 250 mile round trip to church while I stay at home doing chores. . :(

Thought about the HX40 but decided to test out Kurts KS45. The HY would peg my 35# gauge at anything above half throttle, so will not be able get accurate boost #'s untill new gauge gets here.

Thanks for the help.
