Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) new turbo, boost?

I installed my new turbo 2 weeks ago finally got it over 300 miles on it so i wanted to see what it would do,it goes up to 20 psi real quick and basically just stops there(with stock turbo i could hit32 psi),but it feels like it is pulling hard,does this sound right or do you think the wastgate is opening too earliy?

just to hazard a guess without knowing anymore info, i would check your wastegate first

how big is the turbo you probably don't have enough fuel with just the comp in ez mode to spin it past 20.

how could i go about checking to see if the wastgate is opening to early? it is not a big turbo,not sure of the size,i just thought since it shoots to 20 real fast and does not go beyond the WG could be opening early

But it does sound like the wastegate is opening. Did you install the boost elbow from the Comp on the new turbo?

How are the egt's compared to the stocker?

it is the turbo that J. R. had on the group buy about 6 months ago, i just got around to putting it on. i did not have the pryo gauge on with the stock turbo, the temps seem a little high for just and ez~750 crusing 75 at 9 psi and 1000~1100 pulling a hill, but not long hill and had to get out of it because i was going too fast. it is the elbow that came with the turbo, i thought of trying the one from the comp. but maybe i dont have enough fuel? but when i get around to install the mach 2 injectors then i should have enough.
