I just installed a new HT turbo. Just curious how many miles I need to baby her for before opening her up? I've heard 100 miles not exceeding 10psi. Is this still the norm?

A while back this question was asked and I think it was Olee Poole who said,"slap your brother-in-law and hand him the keys. ":-laf

The stock turbos come with the warning to pre-oil the oil inlet before installing to avoid a dry start up.

Please give us some feed back on your new turbo, i've been looking at the same thing and i'm curious how you like it. How does it spool?, any surging? and what kind of temp reductions are you seeing?

The HTT 62-12 appears much more responsive than the B1-02. My B1-02 was a 62/16 so it was a bit laggy off the line but flowed well above 2k rpms. I haven't had a chance to tow with the new turbo yet, which is why I changed, and probably won't be towing again until early December but all indications point to this turbo being very tow friendly. The install went smooth and it lined up well with my down pipe. I did, however, have to change the clocking on the intake housing in order to clear my shock tower, which was very easy to do.
