Buying all new hand tools & need recommendations.

I just bought a used Rotary 7K# two post hoist from a local shop equipment dealer. Got it for $1400 plus install, total will be less than 1900 when complete. A new rotary hoist sells for about 4k ouch. No more creeper spine alignments :) . The only difference between the 7k and 9k is relief setting on pump and the sticker on it. Should be installed this week, just in time to put a clutch in my wifes Neon. :(

I have 3 wishes... .

1: My home garage was deeper

2: My home garage was Taller

3: My home garage had a hoist in it.

Man I envy you guys who have lifts at home!

Hoist is nice, but I'm young and crawling around under the truck doesn bother me :D. . Heck I'd be happy with a garage I could fit my truck in... never mind a lift!

I love my lift. I bought a 10k two post for under 2200 brand new. installed it myself. lifts make life so easy. but since I use them for a living I dont think I could live without one.

glade your getting a new to you lift, but don't try and kid yourself into thinking the ONLY difference between a 7Klb lift and a 10Klb lift is the relief valve..... Come on no one here is that STUPID... . save it for your wife.

I just bought two (2) lifts for my garage both 10Klb units and there is plenty of difference besides the relief and the extra several thousand dollars they cost. Lets see... . there is the extra capacity, which is backed-up by the add weight of several hundred pounds over the lower priced units. Also some use bigger cylinders, caballing, etc.

Glade you got the new lift, but keep it real.

I did not imply all manufactures of hoist are like this, my mistake if it sounded like that. I was talking about the Rotary brand hoist that the company sells. I didn't believe it either, until he showed me parts book-All the same 7k-9k. They sell a couple of other brands and 1 of the others was the same can't remember the name though. The rotary I purchased is a few years old. It was setting next to new 9k lifts and the Rotary has twice the metal than new hoists. But enough of that its the fact I finally got 1 :D .
