6 speed, saw a post that the 6 sp. was delayed?

I have seen several posts indicating the 6 speed is delayed.

All you guys may want to sit back and relax. Go over to the ordering thread on DTR, and see the problems that MANY of us are having getting our trucks, especially those of us in the Northeast.



Once your truck is built, it can sit waiting for a boat for 2-4 weeks. Mine was built and released on 2/18, sat in Vera Cruz for almost 3 weeks, and just Monday was put on the slow boat to Baltimiore.



I'm over 8 weeks already, and by delivery time, will be at about 12 weeks. (I had been told 8).



Hurry up and wait.

My truck went d1 on 3/5 so its only been two weeks. I cant wait to get it as it will be my first ctd and quite an upgrade from my 92 yota. It sucks when a guy on a 10 speed passes me on hills. So in the meantime i will sit back and take in all the info here and dream about all the money ill spend on it when it arrives

My truck went kz this morning. Boy that seems pretty quick. I hope they didnt forget the no spin diff. I thought the no spin and 6 speeds was what was holding things up. Schedule for del on 4-13 in westbrook maine. I will keep waiting.

Add a month to that. I'm not kidding. I hope I'm wrong, and they get the delivery problems straightened out, but don't hold your breath. Mine was originally scheduled for 3/15, and now I'm looking at another 3-4 weeks. And I'm AHEAD of couple of other Internet buddies.

I ordered my truck on 02/27/04. It was D1 on 03/08/04 and hasn't changed since.

do different dealers get priority? I ordered mine from a smal town dealer that doesnt do a big volume on 2/25 and it hasnt even shown up on the tracking site yet.

Jack did they assign you a von or a vin?I actually ordered mine on 2/27 went back on 3/1 to make a couple more additions to it. Was told that they could still make the changes as the truck had not been "picked up" then saw d1 in 3/5. How can it be that you cant find it on the radar screen and mine was to be shipped 3/17? I thought my no spin would have held things up. This dealer is fairly large up here but dont know if it makes a difference????

I purchased mine from a very large dealership. Maybe the smaller dealers combine orders and place an order to DC a couple times a month.

I was given a von and have the dealers # it shows dealers portfolio empty and the von has all codes but nothing under them.

maybe i should call the 800# and try it that way. also if small dealers combine orders it wouldnt show in his portfolio?

Jack, after accessing the site and putting in the dealer code click on vehicle trace and instead of vin scroll down until dealer code and type in the code. It should show all the vehicles that your dealer ordered. You probably tried that ?Is that what you mean by portfolio empty?It looks like my dealer just adds a vehicle when they feel like ordering one or someone puts in a specific order like us. Call your dealer and ask if it has been "picked up"

It still didn't get loaded on a ship yet. It looks to me like it is going to take at least another 4 weeks. Which would put me at the end of April. That's 12 weeks.

Ordered a 3500- 4 wheel dr. Quad cab long bed with the cummins on Dec. 22-03 just got told today on 3-24-04 it will arrive at dealer on April 5-04. Sitting on a rail car in St. Louis and will take 12 days to get from there to Decatur Indiana. So they say. If they build it, it will come.

I think if they build it it will creep. delivery seems to be the holdup, you guys on the east coast get a slow boat to china we on the west get held up in a rail yard somewhere. at least we dont have to make the payments yet.

just ordered nerf bars ( all stainless even the brackets and bolts)

and had the dealer order fender liners and mud flaps for the trip home. If i cant have the truck yet ill have parts to fondle

I checked my dealers ordered vehicles and mine is not in there? I ordered on 2/28/04??? Does it show up when they accept it at DC or when the dealer puts in the order??? I am confused. I see several 3500 4x4s but none of them are mine.

I thought it showed up after it was "picked up" by dc , meaning that it was ok'd by the powers to be as far as options, packages etc. Idont know why some trucks are not showing up on insight. As i stated earlier I ordered 2/26 went d1 3/5 and kz 3/17. From other members on east coast was told to expect it to sit awhile before being shipped. Try calling the 800 number.

i got my truck two weeks ago the dealer tells me he ordered it in dec. and it just came in the problem is the shipping from mexico the are shiping the ones on the east coast by boat up the east coast thats part of the problem.

my truck just came up on insight ordered 2/28 dI 4/2 dealer says ship date 4/19

2500,600ho,black,larimie,6 sp,4x4. have parts in garage waiting. hope the train dosnt derail.
