I found this history of New Venture Gear the company and their products on ALLPAR.

New Process Gear and New Venture Gear History

It's a little confusing but apparently that's what happens when demand for products increase or decrease and companies are bought and sold.

Note the link for the NV-4500 at bottom of page. Unfortunately, the article's writer didn't mention the NV-5600.

This could be posted in Gen I and Gen III also but most NV transmissions are in Gen II trucks so I'm posting it here.
