My baby is back!!! Just finished the VP R+R on my truck and everything seems to be running fine. There is one thing that I noticed that was different though. The lift pump was replaced about 3 mos. ago and was 15 idle,13. 5 cruise, and >8 WOT before/the day of the VP-44 failure. Now, I still get 15 at idle but at cruise I get about 11-12 and the one time I gave it to her on 5X5 it was going under 5 before I got out of it. I can't say for sure if this pump feels stronger because I haven't driven it much but is there a chance that my old pump was weak all along and this one is using more fuel, or does this just seem like another LP going bad? I don't have a pusher on yet (I know, I know) because I am still deciding between that setup and a PE4200 but the numbers I'm getting now have surely got my attention. Any feed back would be much appreciated.

P. S. I want to thank John for all of his help and Merrick for his help and his custom Heavy Duty VP-44!!

Weather your old vp was going bad for a long time or not you need to get some fuel pressure to the new pump before you are on your 3rd VP.

Good Luck

Craig
