My new VP44 injection pump definitley produces more power at 95K miles than my stock VP44. I can burn rubber from a stand-still stop which I was only able to do with my 'comp 'wire' hooked up before the replacement. Also, my fuel pressure gauge is showing about 3 PSI lower pressure than before the swap of the VP44.

So, my question is, was my original stock VP44 injection pump

trash from the factory?? My new injection pump rocks!! Ie: it has WAY more 'get-up-and-go' than the one that came with the truck!

And to you all that are thinking that, "he has a 'loose screw', I do:D, however, I'll always find a place to put the missing screw!

I just replaced my VP-44 a few weeks ago. I bought a rebuilt that came from the Bosch factory in Germany. I too think I have more power. Fuel economy is up better than 2 mpg! The average economy reading on my trip computer if FAR more accurate than with the original pump!!! I too am thinking the factory pump was less than it should have been! It makes me feel that it was a blessing that the original pump failed!
