Put these on last week #ad
(did not buy them from this site just where I could find a picture) and I must say that of all the thing I have done so far this mod is drawing the most comments. One guy followed me to a stop light to ask me what kind they were.
Can you tell us anything about the backspacing or offset? Where did you get them? I would also like to see pics on your truck. Are they chrome or polished?
Those wheels are frickin' awesome! I saw them in my latest 4X4 magazine and have drool marks all over the page. How much were they and how wide are they?
The back spacing is 4. 5 inches and measured they are 8. 5 inches wide and they are chrome plated forged aluminum as well. Now for the good part out the door they were a little under $1200 (labor in China is cheap) and that included the "spline" type locking lugs and Mikes Offroad has the latest wheel balancing equipment that uses a laser to tell you weight placement as well as a road force balance. These new wheels cut my balance weight by 25% to 50% and they ride great plus with the offset they fill up the fender flares perfectly!
They will really set off the Putco chrome billet door handles when they get off of back order but the billet fuel door and aluminum bed and tail caps look pretty good already with the wheels.
4wd and no rubbing but did cut about 1/2 inch off of the black plastic front air dam. Prior to the new wheels the factory wheels would rub a little on the inside making a shiney spot on the metal. It was just a small spot on the black but now not a problem no more rub.
