A guy at work got big aftermarket wheels for his 2003 Ram 2500, so I bought his old OE wheels and tires (still plenty of tread). I wasn't sure they would fit on my 1997 which had OE chromed steel wheels with 245/70-16E tires, but they sure did with room to spare. As they are 17" rather than the original 16", there is more space between the wheels and brake components. The '03 wheels are offset appropriately, so that the extra width of the larger 265/70-17E tires goes toward the inside rather than stick out further which would throw even more rocks/dirt onto the truck.

Is this a common upgrade? Are there other Dodge wheels that are popular upgrades for Gen 2 Ram trucks? Any known conflicts with swapping Dodge wheels? Since I don't have a Owner's Manual, is 125 lb-ft the correct wheel lug nut torque?
