We its time to expanded so we just picked up a 2014 2500 2wd 2dr long bed with 6.7. Its a tradesman but at least has power windows and mirriors. It was tough finding anything configured that way on the east coast. I do need to make some changes fairly soon. One being a brake Control and I believe I need some type or mirror extent ion since it doesn't look like it has the flip up ones like most have. Other than those things it should be too to go for now. I'm not heart broken about the trailer brake thing since I never have liked the factory one in my 2011. I purchased a Max brake for my 2011 but never got to install it and sad to say I have no idea where the thing is right now or if it will work with the 2014. Many people seem to like the P3 controller but I found this one http://www.brakecontroller.com/maxbrake.htm
Just wondering if anyone has tried this. Any ideas are welcome. Also any ideas for towing mirror setups would be helpful. The last time I tried any type of strap on mirrors I quickly got rid of them.
 
I have the factory 2011 controller and installed the MaxBrake. Starting in 2012 they make the factory controllers as good as the MaxBrake. Sell your MaxBrake and go with the factory one and you will be happy!

When I get a new 15 the MaxBrake will be sold off of the 11.
 
Can I assume that the factory wording is behind the dash and I just need to plug the unit in and have them flash the computer?
 
If the Brake Controller can get info from the OBDII about the brake line hydraulic pressure, then its more than likely a good replacement for the Max Brake controller. I love my Brakesmart controller, but there is no support for it, if it fails. Thanks for posting that link, just hope it lasts longer than the Brakesmart or Max Brake business models, if its as good as a proportional type controller.
