Consensus on best dino oil?

Battery time

I want to be one of the FIRST on the list to order this, if it is true. This is what Chrysler NEEDS to do in order to get sales moving. I have talked to dozens of people personally who want to see a diesel Wrangler offered. Look at how popular the conversions are into the Wrangler! I WANT ONE WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION!!! And I hope they don't require us to get the "premium" package in order to get the diesel!

Yea... . Those are the poor pitiful folks that had the GM diesels and the pre turbocharged engines. My Liberty CRD will SMOKE the gas version. It is about torque, not horsepower. It used to be it took a larger displacement diesel to do the work of a smaller displacement gas engine. Now, with turbocharging and electronic controls, the little diesels are seriously strong. Volkswagon proves that with a little 1. 9 and the little VM 2. 8 is a surprisingly strong engine in the Liberty. Would be awesome in a Wrangler with manual trans.

What I don't quite understand is, after selling umpteen pickup trucks because they had a Cummins in it, why ChryslerJeepDodgeFiat doesn't team up with Cummins for another winner??? Personally, I'd would dump the Subaru wagon and buy a Wrangler w/ a four banger diesel in a heart beat... or at least after the intro bugs were tamed.

EXACTLY my thoughts... and after the Liberty diesel was a MUCH more than expected success, even in its VERY limited form (diesel only available in bottom of the line "sport" and top of the line "limited" models, only in 4x4 and only with automatic), they should see that people WANT the option to have a diesel. The Wrangler, which is probably the "utility" vehicle that actually sees the most actual "utility" use, is a PERFECT candidate for a high torque at low RPM diesel. PLEASE give us a diesel choice with a MANUAL transmission in the Wrangler!!! DCJF, ARE YOU LISTENING!?!?!?
