When manually pumping the primer button should i get fuel at the injectors if i crack the line a little? Or just at the fittings on top of the fuel filter and/or the line that goes from filter to the 7100 pump?
Thanx

If you only changed the fuel filter and didn’t run it out of fuel, just crack the bleeder screw on the top of the filter housing and pump till it’s solid fuel coming out. If you ran it dry, you will need to crack injector lines while cranking AFTER priming the filter first.

You won’t be able to get fuel at the injectors just by pushing the primer button. You will be able to get fuel at the other lines mentioned.

You can hear fuel going through the bypass valve at the injection pump. I crack the bolt on top of the filter, close it when fuel is visible, then a few more pumps gets you the squeak at the injection pump. I never had to crack injector lines. It may run VERY rough at first, just keep it running and it will smooth out.

I've never cracked the injector lines, and I've run the truck out of fuel more than once. I have a broom in the bed, you use the wooden handle to press on the primer button. You can feel when you start to pump fuel, it's a little harder to push. It might take you trying to start it a couple of times, but as long as you have fuel in the lines by using the primer, it will start eventually.
