2006 Mega CTD str8 pipe info
I just "searched" for info on a straight pipe... . BUT everyone lost there kitty... and no mention of a resonator (my 2006 MC has both)... just wondering if the muffler delete kit will help BUT stay quiet with said Kitty and factory resonator???-BJ
After this post... I installed the Genos garage muffler delete pipe... I keeped the kitty and resonator... . with all 4 windows open... . no radio... there is a "little" resonance in the cab... BUT "ONLY" at low speeds or initial take off... . once up to speed (20+ mph) its as quiet as stock... . with the windows shut... AC on and the radio on (low volume) it isnt even noticable..... at highway speeds its "stock like"... ... I will hook up my trailer (27' enclosed snowmobile trailer with 4 sleds @ about 6000 lbs) and retest for noise... as for the "outside" of the truck... . it sounds good... . :-laf
"IF" it gets out of hand pulling the trailer... I have a Rokke silent might to install if needed-BJ
