Hello,

A few months ago I got rid of my '95 Dodge 1500 4x4 and bought an '02 Dodge 2500 QC 4x4 TD to tow a larger trailer we acquired. I love this truck! Joined the TDR within the last month and have tried to read everything about the 24v I can. I have learned alot from you guys. I'd like to get some gauges installed, but am afraid I'd screw something up. Does anyone know of a reliable shop I can have the gauges installed? I am in So Cal near Los Angeles. Bought my truck in Idaho, nice road trip! 8 )

Thanks for your time.

Be your own warranty station

They are one of the simplest BOMBS to be done. Give it a shot yourself. Lots of info here to help (move the PC to the garage if ya have to:eek: ) Nothing like patting yourself on the back for a job well done.

I agree, give it a shot yourself. Gauges really aren't that hard to install. Last issue of TDR has an excellent article on the fuel pressure gauge install. Over the weekend I just installed a triple A-pillar with transmission temp, pyro, and fuel pressure. Real happy with how it came out. I used the new pillar as a replacement, instead of using it to cover the original. Looks factory finished. Tons of help here if needed.

Bocifus, welcome to TDR:) . I can vouch for what the others have said about DIY. If you have any mechanical or electrical ability you can do a 3 gauge pillar mount in 4-6 hours, one day, or spread out as various parts arrived in my case  . You'll learn a bit about the truck and know it's done right:D . Try to find a local chapter or other modified CTDs to view various set-ups and get an idea of what will work for you. I met some great guys and saw lots of mods. at a New England Dyno day before I really began {my sig. is Not updated}. One suggestion, include a fuel pressure gauge, it's easy to do and critical for many 24 valvers. As stated, there is always help available from the GREAT people on this forum. Have fun, Jim G.

Newbie - will try it myself

Thanks for the replies. I bit the bullet and ordered Pryo, boost and transmission gauges with pillar pod from dieselpowerproducts (backordered). I'll give it the ol college try and see what happens. Be prepared to get bombarded with questions. You guys are great.
