After reading this forum for about three weeks I just had to join. Im a newbie. This is the first diesel I have owned. It was my dream truck. And thanks to you members I got me a strap wrench and did my first oil change. My wife was worried that I couldnt do it . A piece of cake... thanks to yall. Just wanted to say hi and I look forward to maybe helping someeone else. You guys are great!!

Welcome

This is my first diesel truck also and I wont ever own anything else. You just have to love putting 18,000lbs behind the truck and pullin over Mt. Eagle and passing all the little Powerjokes and Maxipads. :D

Welcome and let the bombing begin.

My 2000 RAM is my first diesel truck as well, and the TDR web site was one of the driving forces :D that put my in the direction of the mighty Cummins. If you read all of the PSD literature and take a look at the specs on paper, that 7. 4L V8 sure looks good. When you later realize that injectors are $400 a piece and require a mechanical engineering degree to work under the hood, the beauty and simplicity of the Inline-6 cylinder Cummins really shines. The performance, improved fuel economy, easy of upgrading, and better (eg: louder!) sound are all bonuses to me!

Many thanks to the TDR for a great resource, for old and new diesel owners alike!

DavidLR, Welcome! Yep, its the best $35. 00 spent on my part for my truck. Just don't let these guys get into trouble with the wife BOMBING the truck:D

Mine can't understand why last year I said this is the best truck anyone could own, then I had to put the EZ on, then modify the Valve Body, then add the guages---ect... .
