Hi, first post here. I flew to LA last saturday and bought a very nice 94 regular cab 2 WD manual trans from TDR member Gumpertz. Drove home to Mesa AZ without a problem and have been cleaning and odering parts all week. Replaced the turbo drain line hose and elbow and got her steam cleaned... ...

I can't find the crankcase vent hose!! Can somebody point me in the right direction??

Mine must be AWOL. Only tube near my starter is dipstick tube going into Block above pan. How long is the vent tube and where does it originate? Is it plastic or metal?

Hey I found it! Mine is broken off and only about 3 inches long. Tough to see, I wondered why I had oil on top of starter! I will fit a piece of heater hose on there and get it down where it belongs.

If you cant find a greasy tube near the starter then look on the front of the engine in front of the inj pump. There might be a breather tube coming down into a plastic bottle.

Just a note of explanation: All 12 valves had the vent tube on the left ( fuel pump ) side, near #5 cyl. It comes out from the tappet cover. The front vent tubes didn't start until the 24 valves and the catch bottle came out in 2001. Shadrach
