The Westminster Dog show is one of the oldest events in the US. I think its older than the Kentucky Derby.

Mom and I show a Standard Schnauzer... it's fun and can be agravating. I handle my own dog, makes no sense to give big bucks to a "Pro".

Statland - We have a standard also. "Aggravating" is too kind a term, and we don't show. Her mom's a champion, and they come from Oregonized stock. The show was good, w/top quality dogs, as always, but my choice would have been the Kerry Blue. EDK

 

[Newf Limo]

Nope, didn't get to see it. We had our Newfies up in the snow at Green Valley Lake, CA all weekend. They wanted to play in the snow. Unfortunately the TV at the Cabin doesn't get any channels, so we missed it. My better half handled our baby boy in a practice puppy match yesterday and won the working group. WooHoo! It was all in fun and just gives the puppys a chance to get comfortable in the ring. She and I will probably do all the handling on James "Topshelfs, Shaken Not Stirred". I don't think he is a Westminster competitor though #ad
