Has anyone heard any definitive news on the timeline for the next generation? Is it still 2009? Does that date cover both light duty and heavy duty OR will the heavy duty be phased in a year later like the current generation? If 2009, what would be the last date to factory order a 2008?
The 2001. 5 is fast approaching 200K and I expect to be near 250K by the end of 2008. My original plan was to go 10 years/300K and then buy a new truck, BUT model year introductions might speed that up or slow it down.
The 2001. 5 is still going strong, ORIGINAL just about everything EXCEPT the LP, I need to change that, again!
I don't want year one of a major redesign either body or power train, so am trying to time my long range planning around that too.
Could we expect a better climate control system in the next generation, maybe better lights, possibly even HID?
On the other hand the current generation probably has most of the bugs worked out? The new motor should be getting pretty well debugged by 2008 or 2009 too.
Just some early morning musings, LOL.
