Does anyone know for sure about the next version of the heavy duty truck scheduled for 2003.

My visit to a local dealer indicated that it will likely be look like the new 1500 and have independent front suspension.

The reason I need to know this is so I can order another of the present truck before they "improve" it into something less desirable.

Thanks

Harry

I forgot to ask weather it would have IFS or not when I was at the dealer. He did say that it would be very similar to the 1500's. He also said that we would be able to get a 3500 in either a short bed or SRW. He didn't really know a whole lot since all he got was on a fax from DC. Only time will tell.

i heard that it will be similar to our trucks in drivetrain and stuff but the cab will be the same as the 1500. Big mistake but right now they are making small SUV's that are 4-door but the inthusiasts that want a big 4-door will be looking elsewhere. I will be keeping my 01 and if I want a big 4-door, I'll do a stretch from that company that does that stuff. Maybe make an Excursion style body... or a 6-door :p

This will be the last truck I'll buy, I will rebuild this when it goes downhill.

When i called about my truck on order the DC customer rep said they are getting an unusually large amount of orders for 2002 CTD rams, seems alot of people don't trust that the new rams will be any good

The new ram WILL have a solid front axle, not IFS JUNK. The body I was told before was suppossed to be the same as the new 1500, but now I am hearing it will be a little different, do not know for sure... . except for the front axle. I saw one in mask, a 4 door dually, and it had a solid front end 4X4...
