Is the noise from the wind going bye noitced in the cab? One of the test drives I did the noise was "bothersome' and dont know if its the door adj on this unit or not. It was the only one I got to take up to 70-75mph. Any other things to lokout for? Know the rain/snow etc gonna get inside when opening the door(s) but after looking at a later build date they may have moved the gasket(s) higher. Looked to me like they were nearer the outer edge.

TIA

I was driving with one of the back windows down a couple of inches (the only one that was down) and I got a "buffeting" sound that got my attention. Sounded a little like the noise you can get from a sunroof sometimes. The solution was either to shut the window or open another one.

Ben-yes there is more wind noise. But I think the only reason you hear it is it is so much quieter than before. Yesterday at 55 mph my wife turned down the radio and remarked how much quieter it was than our other Dodges. :D

The only wind noise I have had is like Dean Upson said. When the rear window is down 5-6 inches, just put the window up a bit more or down a bit more and no more problem.

Driving in the wind in this state is an every day occurance and you will immediately know if you have a window open driving against a 40mph head wind. Dean was right about wind buffeting with a window down. Overall, I am very pleased with the body integrity and fit of our new 2003. Very little wind noise with all the windows up.

I hear the wind all the time from the driver window at higher speeds (50+) Wind speed/direction/etc does not matter. I repeatedly check to see that the window is up all the way and all are. No leaks, but annoying if the radio isn't on.

Very little wind noise on mine, very acceptible. Most of the road/wind noise emanates from the rear of the truck, due the slider window I think.

Mine makes noise on the down wind side if the cross wind is over 35 to 40. Seems to be worse on the driver's side. Normally it is nice and quiet running down the highway at 70. Glen

The first bomb I did was to pull all the door panels and insulate them. This makes a significant difference with regards to wind and road noise. I just bought 3 packages of 1" thick insulation and a can of spray adhesive from Home Depot for about $20. It was very easy.

Mine seems to whistle around the front edge of the driver's window, along the door pillar. Part of me thinks I should adjust it a little but the body lines fit ooohhh sooo nice! The gaps are even and the panels look perfect to me. Glen

Wind noise

This is more of a problem in the o3s than the previous models. The ones that dont have this problem are more the exception. If you examine the A pillar and see how the window frame fits against it you will notice in a big percentage it sticks out past the Apillar and in a lot of cases the window frame is bowed enough to allow water to get in. By the way,most second generation trucks are as quite going down the road as the o3s because of this.

Massive wind noise here. Happens at 75+ with the addition of ambient wind. Wind noise is MUCH worse with the mirrors in the towing position. I flipped my drivers mirror back to the normal position while driving and the noise disappeared from that side.

the other day my truck started to whistle like is was 25 years old now it rattles and whistles 11517miles, got a long way to go, i dont think this truck is going to hold up to what i am fixing to throw at it so far all it has seen is the hwy. deer season is fast approaching and my trucks knees are knocking for good reason. my truck is turning into a really nice and expensive POS:{
