Posted in the Engine and Trans forum as well...

Finally got around to replacing damn near everything thing on my front end.

Now that's out of the way, what else should I look at doing?

I know I need a new head gasket, but not badly. I know a lot of guys replace a lot of wiring and hoses. That's the direction I'm leaning even though my wiring and hoses are in pretty good shape.

What do you guys think?

If your hoses and wiring are in good shape, why take things apart and run the risk of screwing something up putting it back together?

Preventative maintenance?

Wiring... was talking more about the wiring from the alternator to the batteries.

Hoses, I noticed Larry B sells marine grade hose for the fuel system and I've read too much about it failing at inopportune times.

My pappy always said, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Dont have one. Just suggestimg you check them as I lost one and it resulted in 15k in damages between our two trucks... SRATH posted a link in my intercooler thread which covers the brake line problem https://www.turbodieselregister.com...ransmission-1994-1998/221253-intercooler.html also check your leafspring shackles mine rusted out last year

I've looked at them but I will give them better scrutiny when I get home.

Since I over research everything, I'll let ya know what I find.

Glad you're ok.

Agreed. Just going to check everything and make sure... replace what needs it. Found some good protectant for the hoses that I'll be using.

The 2 spots that seem to be vulnerable are the line going to the rear between the fuel tank and frame rail and the drivers side inner fenderwell where mine went last month
