Next upgrade...

Hey guys, this is my first post so bear with me.

I recently got a banks power pak for my 98. 5 auto, and I know i should have bought compoants rather than spend so much for the stickers... . but I am a sucker for advertizing so here i am.



I am happy with the power for now... but I worry about my trannys health. I only have 22k but the banks still makes more power than I think is good for the old slushbox... how is this transmission on brawn??? should I start upgradeing it now??



I was thinking bigger injectors, but I feel i should deal with the trans first. what should I do?? and what first?? I don't tow, I just want it to go!!!!!! thax!!!!

Ahhhh, a nice easy question... Call Bill Kondolay and talk to the leading slush-box improver guy himself. I have his valve body and 91% torque convertor and feel that the improvement in performance from these was as significant as adding injectors and I know that my transmission is going to better handle the massive quantities of torque I feed it occasionally (OK, OK frequently ) Do some searches on automatic transmission upgrades and see for yourself whose products are most often recommended. Also, see if you can find a local TDR chapter in your area and take a ride in a truck or two that have the DTT parts in them. Have fun!!

The DTT upgrades ( vb,tc,etc) will improve your truck more than the Banks did. The Banks gives you the power and the DTT upgrades will allow you to use it. After that get some bigger injectors and hold on.
