American dollars..........who needs 'em?

just thought I would ask. . one of my friends, KC Jones, Steer Wrestler is doing good, but needs to hustle up if he wants the big iron for his belt! He has been slacking, still it is something to get to Finals, but you get there, then slack off... what gives? Just thought I would make a post.

Brandy Halls is barrel racing there again this year. She's not doing too hot either (although I fell asleep in my chair last night and didn't see the barrel racing. ) She doesn't live too far from me and my wife has met her a couple times. Frank Thompson supposedly lives near me as well, but I don't know him. I'm rootin' for Cody Ohl (sp?) anyway, I'm glad to see him back in action. I'll never forget his run when he busted up his knee coming off his horse, but finished roping the calf anyway. Before last nights run, he'd made $43,000 thus far at the NFR. Some year I'm gonna make it out to see it.

Yeah, Justin Maass (Tie Down), Jackie Dube and Tammy Key (Barrel Racing) are all from my hometown. Been trying to keep up with the results online if I don't get to watch it.

I just got back from there!!!!

I've been dying to go. Me and a friend just got back. We drove 1,770 miles to Las Vegas. The rodeo was AWESOME!!! The awards ceremony almost made me cry!!!! On the way home, we past Patrick Smith, team roper. I wanted pictures. I took one of the trailer with his name on it and one of him driving! His girlfriend was ******. He didn't care. I didn't mean for him to go without any that night. I just wanted pictures because rodeo people are awesome. I barrel race so I know how much hard work they put into it.

KatOo.

I was there for the first 4 go rounds... definitly a fun place. We go most every year when we can. It's not too far a drive and worth the money I think. If anyone wants any tips I have a bunch. Parking and getting tickets is a cinch, just gotta know who to know and where to go!

I sure wish I could have gone. I've always wanted to go to the NFR, and one day I know I will. With any luck I'll be going to win a lot of money and a big pretty gold buckle as a contestant.

I used to go watch it every year.

Back when the NFR wasn't a Vegas sideshow, and it was where it belongs: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. :D

Now I would go for sure if it was still in OKC. Is anyone going to Equifest in Kansas in Feb. We have put it on our list of hope to goes. It would be a good chance for a TDR group meeting somewhere.
