I would like to hear from those of you in New Hampshire that know what is needed in order to pass inspection. I'd greatly appreciate any input.

Hi, I live in Nashua. Thr inspection is the usual lights, brakes (if they want to check them) and plugging into the ODBC connection to see if there are any codes. Nothing up the tailpipe is required for diesels right now. Hope that helps?

Each place seems to be different, I wouldn't worry about a lack of cat. Mine didn't come with one(2003) and they have never checked to see if I had one.

Brake inspection in NH is based on the mileage on the odometer. I believe that anything over 40K gets one of the front wheels pulled to inspect the calipers, pads and rotors.

Been in NH for 31 years (still not considered a native) and that's the way its been ever since we moved here. Used to be two inspections and registration renewals each year, but about 20 years ago they went to once per year.

If you're moving to NH or have just moved here be prepared for sticker shock on the registration.

With the data off the OBDII connector they can tell of the emission equipment if functional... that's why a lot of states have dropped the tail pipe test...

If any of the equipment is not functional the data at the O2's will be wrong... the computers are getting to where they see all... just the same way that the dealer can now tell if you've exceeded specifications with one of the add on devices to increase performance...
