That's a beauty Dave! Did you ever bring it to Wickenburg for the Fly-In or other car shows? Lots of MOPAR fans(Chrysler retirees)around here, especially since the proving grounds was right down the road in Wittman.
Both of those cars are tastefully done. My family has always been GM( family member owned a Chevy dealership) but when I was 10 an older cousin bought a 68 road runner with a 383 and a 4 speed. I loved that car, and would have one today if I had the cash and somewhere to store it.
He is asking $29,999.00
I almost owned a 69 GTX convertible. 440 4 speed. Original....... Almost.
I was always mopar, in the late 80's they were doing those awful K cars, so I bought a Grand National. No regrets.
I digress.
That's a VERY nice car and should sell quick for that.
Almost is right! Looking back, when I bought my first car, '65 Mustang with a 289 "K Motor", the guy had a Roadrunner with a 383 4-speed pistol grip, etc. I could have bought either one for the same money, but being a Blue Oval devotee I went with the Mustang. Coulda, shoulda, woulda! I don't regret it. I had a lot of fun skunking bigger cars with that 289. It could definitely "punch above its weight".
A K code Mustang was no joke. Was it a fastback?
Wayne M.;2475476 These cars have a certain personality that's lost to time. The youngins can't begin to understand unless they've been experienced. I'm finishing up my Duster- a job that should took one winter took 2.5 years. Can't wait said:Wayne, good luck with the 71, I've had my 70 340 car for 45 years. It's finally made it to the top of the project list (after the 302 Miata and mosley stock 1951 3600 Chevy truck). This pic is with new Polyglas White Letter tires installed a couple weeks ago, they do look exactly like the one original I have from the 70's. Amazing for reproductions.![]()
