I have a customer looking to sell a nice '70 Roadrunner. I had to share a couple photos. It's a CA built, CA owned car. Originally had a 383, but now sporting a built 440 w/Six Pack, Torqueflite, etc. Wish I had the $$$...

Nice ride, I have had mine for 43 years and will have to sell some day. It will be very hard to do.

Both of those cars are tastefully done. My family has always been GM( family member owned a Chevy dealership) but when I was 10 an older cousin bought a 68 road runner with a 383 and a 4 speed. I loved that car, and would have one today if I had the cash and somewhere to store it.

That's a beauty Dave! Did you ever bring it to Wickenburg for the Fly-In or other car shows? Lots of MOPAR fans(Chrysler retirees)around here, especially since the proving grounds was right down the road in Wittman.

Hasn't been to any shows probably for 20 years, Back in the day when I was young it has a lot of 1st place trophy's along with a 1st at the 1986 World of Wheels. Made the cover of Chrysler Power Magazine and a spread in Popular Cars. Curious on how much he is asking for his roadrunner.

I grew up in a Ford household, and was very closed-minded. That wore away both as we endured a string of lemons from Ford, and I opened my eyes with time. Now, I "sorta got a thang for MOPARS!"

He is asking $29,999.00

Thanks, hope he gets it. Mine came from up Mike's way, only further north. It was purchased from K and N motor sales, Caribou Maine. As far as I know I am the 2nd owner. Wish I knew who owned it before so I could send him/her a picture of what it looks like now. I imagine the person was an Airman but that is a guess.

I almost owned a 69 GTX convertible. 440 4 speed. Original....... Almost.
I was always mopar, in the late 80's they were doing those awful K cars, so I bought a Grand National. No regrets.:D
I digress.
That's a VERY nice car and should sell quick for that.

More info/photos of interior just came:
Headliner and rear seat were reupholstered. Front seats are fiberglass racing seats upholstered with custom slipcover to look like original seats. They are a little loose. "Streetable" 90% of the miles were street miles (car shows, cruises etc.) 10% Drag strip. No roll bar. Hoosier street slicks on rear and pizza cutters on front. 3" Flowmasters and electric butterfly cut-outs. Very streetable.

Almost is right! Looking back, when I bought my first car, '65 Mustang with a 289 "K Motor", the guy had a Roadrunner with a 383 4-speed pistol grip, etc. I could have bought either one for the same money, but being a Blue Oval devotee I went with the Mustang. Coulda, shoulda, woulda! I don't regret it. I had a lot of fun skunking bigger cars with that 289. It could definitely "punch above its weight".

He should have no trouble finding a buyer.

These cars have a certain personality that's lost to time. The youngins can't begin to understand unless they've been experienced. I'm finishing up my Duster- a job that should took one winter took 2.5 years. Can't wait, but it's not a B body. My '69 Charger RT/SE Was some great experience. One I let slip by was a '70 rr 4speed ragtop. $1500 basket case in 1990.

A K code Mustang was no joke. Was it a fastback?

No, it was a convertible. It was not a numbers matching car. It was built with a 289 4V(C Code???), but the guy I bought it from put a Hi-Po out of a '66 GT in it. He also went from a T-10 to a toploader. It had an even hotter Manley cam and springs, and Mallory dual-point, etc. At 7K RPM redline she sure sounded good. LOL

Wayne, good luck with the 71, I've had my 70 340 car for 45 years. It's finally made it to the top of the project list (after the 302 Miata and mosley stock 1951 3600 Chevy truck). This pic is with new Polyglas White Letter tires installed a couple weeks ago, they do look exactly like the one original I have from the 70's. Amazing for reproductions.

I am vacationing in Pigeon Forge Tn, and yesterday, went to Floyd Garret's museum. There is a dizzying array of hi Po cars from all brands, and Mopar Guys won't be let down. moparguy, There is a Red 340 Duster exactly like yours on display but with a story behind it. I was real happy to see a (not so) lowly Duster amongst such greatness.
If ever in the area, I reccomend a visit! On the way out I got a shirt, and picked up a brochure card, and as I looked at it, I saw a picture of Mr. Garret. It matched the man at the register. So I got to meet the man hisself!

I also had a 1974 duster with a 4 speed and factory 360.
Before that was a 73 "cuda 340 4 speed with the pistol grip shifter.:D
Before the cuda I owned a big block satellite. :D
