Well, I made the mistake of trying the Bully Dog challenge... it's the free 3 day trial. Well I tested it for all of 30 minutes and was sold. I got the power pup without the outlook monitor since I already have guages.

Driving home in the extreme mode (just because) I have to say that few things in life are truly memorable... such as your first booty call, a really good stripper;) , and seeing a 7000lb dually light up 4 tires through 3 gears without power braking:D It was hard to tell the tire smoke from the exhaust smoke. This thing freakin rocksOo.

I hear ya. After testing the extreme and Crazy Larry programs it definately feels like it has the power to break stuff. I'm also convinced that Larry is certainly crazy:D

My truck will live mostly in the tow/economy mode which provides ample power. I was lucky enough to get to move an 8000lb Bob Cat across town today and it pulls like a Freightliner. My unladen mileage went up 3 mpg on the overhead also. Pretty cool toy.

Just wanted to mention that I had problems with my Outlook Monitor. It was the older model and the LCD was going out. I called Bullydog and they told me to send it back(just the monitor). The good people at Bullydog send me a complete updated kit ,monitor, harnesses, pyro, brackets etc. I guess the new kit uses a hookup to the OBII connector and one wasn't included. I called Bullydog and the tech told me it was only needed for the "Triple Dog". I had to pull the old harness out and install the new one(two,as there was only one before). The new monitor is more user friendly and works great.

Since they sent me a new pyro probe I will install that one post pyro. I don't think I need it but since I got it I might as well.

Just wanted to thank Ron and Dave at Bullydog for the good and timely service.

I didn't get the monitor. I already had guages and prefer the analogue. I think there may be a few features that I won't have because of it but I really only wanted this thing for the fuel economy. The ability to go crazy is a plus but will wait till I finish my transmission upgrades.

I wish they'd make a Crazy Larry for the '03-'04 trucks.

I installed my Triple Dog yesterday and am not so impressed. Not much difference with the 3 settings, and it seems like tow fuels the hardest on the bottom. Performance smokes less for some reason on my truck.

Much smoother than the quad boxes (I had both standard and race), but nowhere near the power of even the 100hp setting.

I guess I'll have to get that TST for sure now :D

I didn't really notice any difference between the crazy Larry and extreme setting... they were both flat-out wicked. It's odd to hear you say you didn't feel a difference... . to say the difference on mine is night and day, is a gross understatement.

I agree with the smoother power of the Bullydog verses the quad race box. I had the quad race box on my 2004 truck for about 8 months,I think the Bully dog powerpup pulls just as hard in the 90HP position as the quad race box did in the 100 hp position. coobie

One difference may be due to the programming available from Bully Dog.

According to them, the hp output for the SO/HO vs 600/610 motors is similar.

The torque ratings for the programmers vary greatly between the two motors. The torque for the 600/610's is rated at twice the amount as what the downloader provides for the SO/HO. Top torque increase on the SO/HO is 135 lb-ft. Something like 250 is the increase on the 600/610's

I have been getting a 3 mpg error on the extreme setting. 20 on the computer and 17 hand calc. I get the same milage in performance mode and no clutch slippage, and less smoke. And it still is very quick. I would like to use the extreme mode, but I would need a different turbo and a beefer clutch.

Not sure why they told you that. I had a 270+ ft/lb torque increase on my 04 305/555 in the extreme setting.

Do you have the Dodge-specific downloader or the triple dog?

I've been reading on DTR that the early BDDL's have a different program than the triple dogs. Kind of like the "early twins" flash on a TST. In the case over at DTR they're saying the original crazy larry was really crazy, black smoke and frying tires. The new crazy larry isn't so crazy.

Perhaps the same is true for the extreme program?
