Our trips seem to be yearly now due to the different directions we seem to be pulled. My oldest son is home from college for the summer and the whole family took a trip up to the Mammoth Lakes, CA area. These pics are from looking down from Duck Pass (10,700') and at Duck Lake. About a 5 hour round trip hike for my oldest son and I.
The towing ease of this trip was probably the best I have ever had. About 8 hours driving each way and it was pretty enjoyable compared to all the grumbling about Dodge steering I have done over the years. The decent tracking, good steering assist and lack of slop were a nice change. Just a quick rundown: New Mopar ball joints, Redhead steering (older, smaller box) and Moog drag link and tie rod. As close to zero toe in as possible.
I met another Dodge Cummins enthusiast with an 06 and had a great time talking trucks. I did my best to talk him into being a TDR member. I have a feeling he will be online soon. Come on Keith, take the plunge!
