Dave Perea has come up with a neat little plate that just fits onto the A/C condensor and protects it from being damaged while you're busy bombing the engine #ad
I have a couple of them for our guys in the shop to use & I see The Power Shop has purchased a couple too. I'll try and get #ad
THE PUNK #ad
to post a picture.

i think the perfect a/c condensor protector would be THE INTERCOOLER , what was mopar think putting that heat monster in front of the intercooler ???? ... ok back on topic , cool , since i seem to be putting in and out my injectors alot , it would come in handy , doest it cover the gap between the intercoolr and the radiator ? i seem to drop to many tools in there and some don't go all the way thru ...

DieselRam... here is a pic of the product. I have so many projects over at my house with the NW BOMBers group, I am getting one to keep in my garage! I can see how it would protect the fins while you are working on most everything from changing the fuel filter to injectors. Thanks to Dave Perea for coming up with this idea! Dave's email is: perea@tscnet.com

Hey John,
The Guard is made of . 050 Brushed finished aluminum and it has two bends in it so it will hang on the condenser.

Who's selling these and how much? We are discussing getting a tool crib together for the GLTDR and this would be a great addition - thanks! I realize we could make this up easily with aluminum plate but I like to support those that came up with the idea!

Steve, Dave Perea is manufacturing and selling them.

Dave, are the ones you sold to The PowerShop aluminum? I could have sworn they were galvanized steel. #ad

Well, I got to use this product again this weekend. We installed a set of 275 injectors and an e brake on a different truck. It is a cool product, looks nice, and if you look at the fins, you will see that it is very functional! Check out your fins... then email Dave. The email address for DAVE PEREA is: perea@tscnet.com

After using the protector at Rob's (thanks Rob #ad
) during my injector swapout, I think it is a must-have for every deditated BOMBer. Fits perfectly.

Rob doesn't know this, but he came darned close to losing that thing a few weeks ago. Good thing I noticed a reflection through my grille as I was fixin' to jump in my truck and drive home #ad
. Rob will have to keep a CLOSE eye on it anytime there is a BOMBfest at his house #ad
.

You're right Vaughn! I'm still waiting for Dave to fabricate my "special" version. I really need one as my hood spends more time open, than closed. #ad

I,ve got an idea to solve that "pesky" problem... I will drill two small holes in the bottom of it... these will serve two purposes:

1. use these holes to hang it up on the garage wall.

2. tie some survey ribbon through them that hangs down and would be obvious when you close the hood. Kind of like an airplane!

Sure looks sweet.

I accomplished the same thing with a piece of 1/4" Luan plywood.

BTW:
Mopar-Muscle, if DC would have put the intercooler in front... we'd all be *****'n that the A/C isn't as cool as it should be.
Every vehicle I know of has it this way.

My 2 Cents
