Looking for opinions from those that have this option, good or bad. Will be ordering a 1500 soon and was wondering about this option.

Thanks,
Scott

have it in my 14 ram. I think it sound great. it thumps enough to vibrate mirrors and it stays clear at high levels. im really glad the truck has it. I would suggest getting it. u wont be disappointed.

Concur with Joe above, you lose the storage under the right rear seat. Sounds good but I thinking about removing the subwoofer to regain this storage like some others on here have done. I don't need to vibrate the mirrors on my truck. That's not the trucks purpose. Just Sayin Ken Irwin

If you like the bass in music, get it. It is good unless you are into the high end aftermarket sound. for a stock system it is awesome. I can put her up to with one or two notches of max and it still sounds good. The lack of storage sucks though. I went from a mega cab to the crew cab with the sub, it's a massive drop in space, like about 95%!!! I used to have enough tools under the back seat to rebuild an engine, almost, and now no tools. I have had to make new homes for them in the back of the truck which gets in the way sometimes.

The system I'm my 11 LongHorn is Alpine. It is of very high quality. It is fully adjustable. No matter where you set the volume, base it still sounds great no distortion. My 15 will have it.

It's a fairly balanced system. Don't think of it as the stereotypical boom-boom subwoofer, and it certainly doesn't have the punch of a quality ($) system. But it does a good job of filling in where the little door speakers leave off. Certainly a worthwhile option if you like music more than talk radio.

I have a history in car audio. This system sounds better than most stock unit, good enough that I have not upgraded it. First time I have stayed stock in a # of rides.

I'm fairly picky about my audio and I have to say I was very impressed with this system on my 2014. For 90% of the folks out there, it is a great system and unless you really enjoy pulling cable, opening door covers, lifting carpet, etc :) its a great option :)

Thanks for the information. I'll put this option on the list. The storage issue under the seat isn't a big deal for me, I keep a small tool box in the bed.

The front stage is great and for me it was worth the extra coin in my Bighorn. I can deal with the reduced storage, I knew that going in.

Like the sound, don't like loosing the space, but not as much as loosing the fold out/down storage platform. After all the truck it is a tool !!!!
