Comp on '01 - HELP!

The nitrous kit is installed! Just a few pics to show what I have done!

The first is the tank install its behind the driver seat.

The third which I am the most proud of is the control panel that I put in the center console (it took me three days to design) also was the hardest to install! The first switch is for the heater for the bottle. The second switch (red one) is for nitrous control. The red light shows that its ready, the yellow is for the throttle switch, the first green light is for stage one and the second green light is for stage two.

I can tell you that I don't have as much fuel as most running nitrous but It is the second best thing that I have installed! Spool up is incredible! With just DD III's there is a big difference in performance with NOS and no black smoke!

Hey Turbos,

Nice install - if you could package that into a tiny box, you could sell it.

By the way, I just moved to Huntersville, from Los Angeles - any events going on here I should know about?

That control panel NICE!

Do nitrous and propane do the same thing? Other than price, is there any benefit of one or the other?

Nitrous is different from propane. The amount of horsepower gained from it depends on how much black smoke you have coming from the exhaust. Little black smoke=little horsepower increase. Lots of black smoke= Lots of horsepower increase! With just DD III's I can tell a difference. The dyno also shows it!

Nice install!

For your green lights, is that to tell you when the solenoid is firing off? If so, did you tap off of the pressure switch, or the solenoid itself?

Thanks,

Ted

I have it on the solenoid. I did this so I can tell if the boost switches ever go bad. Its pretty neat to watch a night. Race someone and have all the lights come on its awesome.

I am wiring mine tonight, that is why I ask. However, I took some ricer stuff and converted it for my own use. I have a cowl induction hood, so I took some of those windshield washer sprayer lights that alot of these ricers have on them, and mounted them inside the scoop, so that you can't see them from the outside, but put them on backwards so that the lights shine back at me.

My tank is mounted in a tool box sitting in the bed. I just wasn't comfortabe sitting that thing right behind the seat.

Ted

I put mine behind the seat because if I ever wanted to remove it there would not be a trace of it. All I have to do is buy another intake and you would not ever know it was there. Behind the seat also means I don't need a remote opener I can reach behind the seat to open it which I like!
