New tires from Nitto...just curious if anyone has tried a set yet???? are they much different from the standard terra grapplers......best price i found was 265. each.....
i've been running the 285/75/17 dura grapplers but wanted something a little more aggressive....
My mistake, I originally saw the ExoGrapplers listed. I really like the tread on them and they are mountain snowflake rated which is a big plus for me, but they don't show any offering in 285/75/17. Hopefully that will change.
I just looked at the G2s and they do look like a good tire as well, and do offer the 285/75/17.
I'm really surprised there still aren't many players in this tire size. It seems to be a pretty popular size but hardly anyone offers them
The G2s will be a good upgrade from the Dura Grapplers in terms of traction. Not knocking the Dura Grapplers, they are a good tire but don't offer much in terms of traction off road. When I first bought my Tera Grapplers I was slightly disapointed in their off road abilities but that was really only because I previously ran nothing but MT tires. My needs changed and I don't run off road like I used to and when I do it is usually limited to lease roads and tractor paths and they are fine for that. Also did well in the snow last winter. Now that I have had them for over a year I am very satisfied with their all around performance and don't regret buying them at all. I do wish I could find a tire in my size that is mountain snow flake rated, the added aggrssiveness they require to meet the criteria would be the best combination tire for my uses.
