I was wondering if there is a KDP jig available to us New Mexicans? I've been puttin it off since feb, and I have seen 3 KDP failures in the last 2 weeks here! They were uneducated non-TDR members, and they thought I didnt know what I was talking about when I told them it is common because their "mechanic" has never seen one do that. Anyways, I guess I need to do mine. I'm just afraid of using the Jig and knocking the dowel out and not knowing it.

pwerwagn;

there is no way to tell if the pin is in or out, If you cann't drill all the way, then it is out part way, then you use a locking bolt included in the jig kit, to hold it. you then can go in to it later and push the pin back in and then TAB it. When you do this you can check all the bolts that hold the case to the block for tightness. If you do the tab it is a lot more work but more worry free, Its your choice.

Concider how many miles you have and if you have a leaking crank seal, some have been able to save the expense and reuse the seal and the gasket. (do search to see how this was done) I believe that yours does not have a gasket for the cover, just use the gray stuff from cummins $10. 99 a tube.
