No a/c with tst on..

I know this has been discussed but can't remember. As stated, when I have my tst on, the a/c won't work, turn it off comes on. Does this have to do with where I have my wire ground?

That's what they say. Supposedly if you move the ground to the metal framework under the dash somewhere, everything will work fine.
